Among grassroots sustainability initiatives—such as civic farming, repair cafés, community energy, and transition towns—the repair initiative stands out as a strong example of everyday sustainable activism. This lecture illuminates the emergence of the repair movement by focusing on global and local repair efforts, including the Southern Taiwan Repair Alliance. Repair activities help extend the life cycle of products, challenging both planned obsolescence and the linear economy. Additionally, community repair spaces contribute to a more inclusive and resilient society.
